Persevere

Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second.  ~William James

USA 1 v Algeria 0….Donovan in the 91st minute!  The USA wins the Group and is advancing on to the knockout rounds!  This game had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.  The US had plenty of opportunities to score, as well as having ANOTHER legit goal disallowed!  I have watch almost every game of the World Cup, and without a doubt the USA has had their fair share of bad calls.  But that is neither here nor there,  we are moving to the next round!  Congratulations to Team USA for persevering..and playing your hearts out!

OPERA

I plan on going to the swimming pool and doing some water therapy, body re-hydration….  and just plain kick it with the family!

It was brought to my attention that I will be front and center on Saturday going mano y mano with Big Dawg JT in the 300 Spartan finale. So swimming tomorrow and a little rest on Friday (my hands are in need of some rest from all the oly work!)  If your in the area, you should come to Crossfit Central on Saturday and witness a sub 10:30 300!  And bring a camera, that way it leaves no doubt in peoples minds what they just witnessed… ; )

Ole.. Ole Ole Ole..Ole.. Ole.

After Norway defeated England 2-1 in a 1982 World Cup qualifier, the Norwegian commentator failed to control his delight and went absolutely berserk with one of the most famous rants of all time.

“We are the best in the world! We are the best in the world! We have beaten England 2-1 in football!! It is completely unbelievable! We have beaten England! England, birthplace of giants. Lord Nelson, Lord Beaverbrook, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Anthony Eden, Clement Attlee, Henry Cooper, Lady Diana–we have beaten them all. We have beaten them all. Maggie Thatcher can you hear me?”

“Maggie Thatcher, I have a message for you in the middle of the election campaign. I have a message for you: We have knocked England out of the football World Cup. Maggie Thatcher, as they say in your language in the boxing bars around Madison Square Garden in New York: Your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!”

Wow, they start the English fans young!
