..I’m not going to lie, this past December I enjoyed quite a few cocktails.  Christmas parties, parties at friends homes, 6 days in Lubbock, the list goes on.  It has been 3 days since my last alcoholic beverage and I feel great.  My sleep is back on point, my dreams at night have “turned” for the better (I could write a whole blog on alcohol induced dreams), I’m waking up with more energy, a better attitude…this list could go on as well.  The challenge is 100 days alcohol free, which would put me deep into Sectional tryouts, so far so good..ONE day at a TIME.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Back At It!

It’s good to be home! It was nice to see my boy Pat get married, but I sure couldn’t wait to get back home to my family.  I didn’t get the opportunity to hit up a workout with Paul Smith (El Paso is bigger then I thought!  plus no rental car).  So I am in need of a solid workout….sweat the wedding cake and beer out of my system!  Start looking out for my Inspiration Series of posts starting on Wednesday.

Snatch Balance 10 x 3

Front Squat 3 x 6

Clean Deadlift 3 x 3

3 Sets of HSPU assisted with bands (sub max effort, shoot for double digits each set)
